DAY 01: NAIROBI / MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE

07H30. Depart your hotel and drive through the beautiful landscape of the Kikuyu farmlands. Descend the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley and continue past the extinct volcanoes of Longonot and Suswa, to arrive at Narok. Continue the drive across the Loita Plains past occupied and abandoned manyattas (the nomadic Masai villages with low houses built out of bent poles and plastered with cow dung). Arrive at Masai Mara Campsite for lunch and later enjoy an evening game drive. Return for dinner and overnight at our campsite. [Approx 5 hours drive from Nairobi.]

DAY 02: MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE

A full day is spent game-viewing on the rich tree-studded grassland and rolling hills. The famous Masai Mara is renowned for its great herds of plains game, black-maned lions, leopards, cheetahs & elephants.

On this day you also have the option of visiting a Masai village for an extra fee of US$25 per person. This visit is for learning about the fascinating Masai culture. One sees their way of life and learns their values. All meals at the campsite.

DAY 03: MASAI MARA/NAIROBI

Early morning game drive; return to the campsite for breakfast, and leave for Nairobi, enjoying a picnic lunch en route to arrive by 4 p.m.

Although the Mara is a National Reserve, the land belongs to the Masai, a tribe of pastoralists whose livestock have traditionally co-existed with the migratory herds of East African plains game.

The Maasai Mara is Kenya's most celebrated game park. It offers the possibility of seeing "the big five" and many other species of game. This is where the great wildebeest migration is a spectacle to behold for any visitor to Kenya, mainly in July to October of each year.

Day 1. Nairobi - Mara
Depart from Nairobi in the morning by 8:00 am and drive along the floor of the Rift Valley to Maasai Mara, arriving at the camp in the afternoon for lunch. Afternoon game drives followed by dinner and overnight stay at a campsite.

Day 2. Maasai Mara
Full day spent exploring the park in search of the Big Five. Morning and afternoon game drives are offered. Optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost of US $450 per person. Dinner and overnight stay at a campsite.

The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) plains in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna - lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures.

DAY 01: NAIROBI - LAKE BARINGO

Depart Nairobi 09H00 and later descend to the floor of the Great Rift Valley, for Lake Baringo [lunch en route] arriving in the afternoon. This is a fresh water lake, which supports a great variety of birds as well as hippos and crocodiles. [An evening boat ride] Indeed the lake is reputed to be the bird-watching center of Kenya ï¿½ overnight at Mrs. Robertï¿½s Campsite.

DAY 02: LAKE BARINGO - LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK

Early in the morning we head south via Lake Bogoria, which is a shallow soda Lake with a beautiful scenery and also home to a sizable number of flamingos and other species of birds. The highlight however is the boiling hot springs and geyser, which also contributes to the beauty of the lake. After lunch we proceed to Lake Nakuru in the South ï¿½ another shallow soda lake that is described as an ornithologist paradise and one of the worldï¿½s most magnificent sights. Here one has an opportunity to see up to two million flamingos besides tens of thousands of others birds if lucky. Lake Nakuru is a rhino sanctuary and also harbors lions, warthog, waterbuck, buffalo, hippo and many other animals. Dinner and overnight in a Campsite or a small guesthouse inside the park

DAY 03: LAKE NAKURU ï¿½ MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE

We head further south to Narok, camping in our semi-permanent campsite on the Sekenani gate, which is at the edge of the park. Here we have stand up tents with beds for use if available otherwise we pitch tents. Showers are available in the camp and meals are served in the dinning mess.

DAY 04 & 05: MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE
From the base camp we explore the Mara region packed with the elephants, zebras, rhinos and all kinds of game throughout the year with the spectacular wildebeest Migration from Serengeti occurring mainly in July and August. All meals at the campsite. On these days you have an option of visiting a Maasai Village at an extra fee. This visit is for learning and enjoying the Masai culture. DAY 06: MASAI MARA - NAIROBI

Day 4: Lake Nakuru/Maasai Mara

Depart after breakfast and drive further along the floor of the Rift Valley to Maasai Mara Game Reserve arriving olmoran tented camp in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive that introduces to this vast game filled reserve. Dinner and overnight at the Olmoran tented camp.

Day 5 & 6: Maasai Mara

Spend two days in Maasai Mara, Kenya's most popular game sanctuary where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five (lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant). Morning and afternoon game drives with the option of visiting a local Maasai village. All meals and overnight at olmoran tented camp.

Day 1: Samburu

After breakfast depart Nairobi at 7.30Am drive to Samburu National Reserve cross Equator, travel through changing landscapes to the rugged-semi region, though harsh but having unique species like the unusual reticulated giraffe, grevy's Zebra, Beisa, oryx, gerenuk. These species are rarely found elsewhere. The bird life is especially notable. Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive is taken. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Campsite

Day 2: Samburu

Full day with morning and afternoon game drive. Optional visit to Samburu villages. Meals and overnight at Samburu Campsite

Day 3: Lake Nakuru

Depart Samburu after breakfast and leave for Lake Nakuru arriving in time for lunch for Lunch, In the afternoon game drive until late afternoon, later depart back to the Camp for Dinner and overnight at Campsite
Day 4: Lake Baringo/ Bogoria
Leaving from Lake Nakuru after breakfast we make a scenic drive to the west across the Lerochi Plateau, arriving at Lake Baringo in time for Lunch. Have an afternoon day trip to Lake Bogoira to explore the Lake Geysers and Hot spring and in good day you will view Kudus, Antelopes, Giraffes,later depart back to Baringo, Optional Boat Ride at the Lake. Overnight at Lake Baringo Campsite

Day 5: Maasai Mara

Depart from Lake Baringo after breakfast and head for Maasai Mara National Reserve which is famous for it's great herds of wild game. All animals found in Kenya among the "big five" are found here. Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game drives. Dinner and overnight at olmoran tented camp

Day 6: Maasai Mara

From the camp, we explore the Mara region, packed with the elephant, zebra, rhino and all kinds of game through out the year with the spectacular wildebeest migration from Serengeti occurring mainly in July and August. Being at Maasai Mara is "as if you found yourself in the New York of the natural world according to some authorities". Indeed you have the best opportunity of seeing all the big five. Dinner and overnight at olmoran tented camp.

Day 7: Amboseli

Depart Mara after breakfast and proceed to Ambosel, lunch will be enroute to the Park. Upon arrival at the the Park have a game enroute to the Lodge, Amboseli is at the Slope or Foot of the snow capped Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Camp

Day 8: Amboseli

Full day with two game drive. Meals and overnight at Amboseli Camp

Day 9: Amboseli - Nairobi - Departure

DAY 03: SAMBURU G. RESERVE

DAY 01: NAIROBI - SAMBURU

Depart Nairobi in the morning passing through the rich agricultural farmland on the slopes of Mt. Kenya to the mainly dry scrubland and open Savannah plains of Samburu Game Reserve. Here the Ewaso Nyiro River supports a wide variety of games among them elephants buffalo cheetah leopard, lion grevyï¿½s zebra reticulated giraffe, long necked gerenuk and the Oryx. Set up tents and proceed on a game drive. Dinner and overnight at the campsite. [Picnic lunch en route].

DAY 02: SAMBURU GAME RESERVE

This day is spent in Samburu with morning and afternoon game drives. All meals at the campsite.

DAY 03: SAMBURU - LAKE BARINGO

Leaving Samburu in the early morning, we make a scenic drive to the west across the Lerochi Plateau, [lunch en route] and later descend to the floor of the Great Rift Valley, arriving at Lake Baringo in the afternoon. This is a fresh water lake, which supports a great variety of birds as well as hippos and crocodiles. Indeed the lake is reputed to be the bird-watching center of Kenya.

DAY 04: LAKE BARINGO -LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK

Early in the morning we head south via Lake Bogoria, which is a shallow soda Lake with a beautiful scenery and also home to a sizable number of flamingos and other species of birds. The highlight however is the boiling hot springs and geyser, which also contributes to the beauty of the lake. After lunch proceed to Lake Nakuru in the South ï¿½ another shallow soda lake that is described as an ornithologist paradise and one of the worldï¿½s most magnificent sights. Here one has an opportunity to see up to two million flamingos besides tens of thousands of others birds if lucky. Lake Nakuru is a rhino sanctuary and also harbors lions, warthog, waterbuck, buffalo, hippo and many other animals. Dinner and overnight in a small guesthouse/Campsite inside the park

DAY 05: LAKE NAKURU - MARA GAME RESERVE

On this day head further south to Narok, camping in semi-permanent campsite on the Sekenani gate, which is at the edge of the park. Here there are walk-in tents with beds & mattresses. Showers are available in the camp and meals are served in the dinning mess.

DAY 06 & 07: MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE

From the base camp we explore the Mara region packed with the elephants, zebras, rhinos and all kinds of game throughout the year with the spectacular wildebeest migration from Serengeti occurring mainly in July and August. Early morning game drive when Mt. DAY 03: AMBOSELI N. PARK - MOUNT KENYA
Depart Amboseli for Mount Kenya found in the area of Central Part of Kenya via Nairobi for picnic lunch. The drive takes about 8 hours from Amboseli to Mount Kenya through the beautiful surroundings as you get into the Kikuyu Farmlands along the way where one can see pineapple and coffee plantations. Time permitting, a nature walk into Mount Kenya Forest ï¿½ Mau Mau Caves, dinner and overnight at the Bantu Campsite.

DAY 04: MOUNT KENYA - SAMBURU GAME RESERVE
Depart Mount Kenya for Samburu Game Reserve situated at the Southern corner of Samburu district with game drive on the way. Samburu is generally a hot place with cool nights temperatures between 18 ï¿½ 30 degrees C. Lunch at the campsite followed by an afternoon game drive in search for lions, elephants, gerenuk, grevyï¿½s zebra, onyx, the reticulated giraffe and other plains game. DAY 05: SAMBURU G. RESERVE

DAY 06: SAMBURU G. RESERVE - LAKE NAKURU N. PARK
Depart after breakfast past the northern tip of the Aberdare Mountains to descend into the Great Rift Valley where Lake Nakuru is located [Picnic Lunch enroute]. Lake Nakuru is a shallow strongly alkaline lake set in a picturesque landscape of surrounding woodland and grassland and is home to thousands of Flamingoes, Buffalo, Lions, Zebra, Giraffe & other animal & Bird Species. On arrival check into a small Guest House or Campsite inside the National Park. Afterwards proceed on for an evening game drive and afterwards return for dinner and overnight at the small Guest House or Campsite.

After breakfast proceed to Masai Mara. Arrive at the Mara Spurwing Campsite in time for lunch. DAY 05: MOUNT KENYA
Breakfast and break up the camp ï¿½ depart Samburu with a game drive on the way out of the park, lunch at the Bantu campsite and there after proceed on for a nature walk to the Mau Mau Caves located deep inside Mount Kenya forest. Return to the campsite for dinner & overnight at the Bantu campsite. [drive takes 3 hours].

DAY 06: LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
